Sean grew up just north of Columbus in Westerville, Ohio and attended the University of Cincinnati where he majored in Biology and Mathematics with a minor in Chemistry. During his time in the Army, he had numerous experiences, including being stationed in Germany for several years and a deployment as a Battalion Surgeon to Afghanistan including earning a Bronze Star and Combat Medic Badge during his deployment. After graduation he spent time at a Federally Qualified Health Center where he established a multi-disciplinary medication assisted treatment program for underserved Columbus residents struggling with opioid addiction. After graduation, she moved to Columbus, OH with her partner to complete her residency at Grant and joined faculty in 2018.
